WLV Sport is the professional services department of the university that delivers the sport and physical activity provision to students, staff and the local community. WLV Sport supports the university wide strategy of delivering inclusive activities that create a sense of belonging and provide a place for the university community to co-exist. This is done by delivering a first-class physical activity experience through projects, initiatives, programmes and working with external partners to enable everyone the opportunity to be more physically active and live healthier lifestyles.
To support our new strategy of ‘More People, More Active’, we are seeking to recruit multiple full time Sports Assistant/Fitness Instructors to support the operation of the sports facilities at our Wolverhampton and Walsall Campuses.
The role includes;
gym supervision, leading group exercise classes, fitness suite inductions, assisting with sports set-ups and de-rigs and sports centre reception duties. In doing so, successful candidates must hold a level 2 Gym Instruction qualification with experience of leading group exercise classes advantageous.
You will have good customer care skills, the ability to handle customer enquiries and a commitment to work as part of a team but overall, be enthusiastic about delivering engaging and inclusive opportunities for our students, staff and local community to be physically active.

Shift working patterns are in operation (WLV Sport is a 7-day operation between 6:15am-10:30pm), therefore you will need to have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
