Job Description
Background:
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club for a Women’s rugby Sports Rehabilitator with experience of player performance management & rehabilitation from injury, to work with Exeter Chiefs and Exeter University players.
Exeter Chiefs compete within the Gallagher Premiership, highly prestigious European Champions Cup and Premiership Rugby Cup competition. Formed in 1871 Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club are the West Country’s Premier Sporting Club, steeped in long-standing tradition and prides itself on delivering professional standards, both on and off the field. We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking, and dynamic Strength & Conditioning coach.

Job Description:
The successful applicant will integrate into the performance team at Exeter Chiefs Women’s rugby team responsible for the provision of Sports rehabilitation. The role will require integration within Exeter Rugby’s medical team to assist in the provision of sports injury management from injury to return to play and require effective communication skills to work within a multi-disciplinary team, along with having the positive drive and motivation required to develop player performance,

Essential requirements:
· BSc in Sports Science Rehabilitation or related field.
· Registration within a sports rehabilitation governing body such as BASRAT.
· Experience in the team sport rehabilitation setting.

Highly desirable:
· Previous experience in rugby union as a sports rehabilitator..
· Previous experience in Female Sports rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:
· Planning and delivering Sports Rehabilitation focused towards the modern rugby player.
· Monitoring and planning of loading data both Internal and external to promote healing progression and effective return to sport.
· Progression and maintenance of performance and movement screening protocols.
· Completing regular body composition assessment and 1 to 1 coaching of best nutrition practices for injured players.
· Delivery of recovery sessions and player education around sleep and recovery modalities.
Working hours:
The employee’s normal working hours will be based on a fixed 40 hours a week. This will be variable due to the changing nature of a sporting setting. Weeks will vary depending on scheduled fixtures. This will also include working during bank holidays and national holidays.
