Tennis Coach – The Parklangley Club – England

Job Description
The Parklangley Club is one of the largest clubs in Kent and runs the largest coaching programme in the county with around 1800 attendances in our weekly coaching programme. We have around 20 coaches who work for us who all earn a full time living coaching around 40 hours per week. We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional coach looking to join our busy and vibrant club. We also have a waiting list of players looking for private coaching so the coach has the ability to work more if wanted.
The role will include group coaching hours, one-to-one coaching and delivering LTA initiatives such as LTA Youth, LTA Youth Start, Cardio Tennis and Tennis Xpress.
We have a strong emphasis on coach development and we have weekly in house training. There are great opportunities to learn from our very experienced and well-qualified team. We always support our coaches to progress and develop. Our team ranges from Level 2 coaches all the way to Level 5 coaches and LTA Tutors.

Overview of the Venue
The Parklangley Club is a well-established and popular club which also manages coaching programmes at several other satellite venues, parks and clubs. We are a 10U Performance Centre coaching some of the best players in Kent.
The clubs facilities are always expanding and offering more venues for people in the area to play at.
The Parklangley Club offers a bar, gym, meeting rooms, squash courts, badminton courts and other top facilities.

Person Specification
•Level 3 or looking to complete level 3 in near future. Accredited Plus and able to show current DBS.
•Completed LTA Safeguarding course
•Be skilled at coaching and promoting the LTA’s initiatives such as LTA Youth Start, Tennis Xpress and Cardio Tennis
•Understand the governing body’s products and work
•Be able to work daytime, evening and at least one day at weekends.
•Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
•Be hard working, highly motivated, committed, ambitious and have initiative
•Be professional, reliable and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
•Be actively seeking CPD
•Have a good playing level
•Show attention to detail and good administration
•Have experience of and a willingness to coach in schools
Be able to assist with LTA Youth Matchplays
DBS (preferred)
Level 2 Tennis Coaching Certificate (preferred)
