Job Description
Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS), in partnership with the 7 Districts of Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland would like to support 11 recent graduates in a 12 month placement opportunity.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help support Local Sport Alliances deliver sport and physical activity opportunities to their communities and ensure that a lasting legacy for the 2012 Games is achieved, whilst gaining invaluable on-the-job training.

Successful candidates will support the delivery of national initiatives locally such as Sportivate, School Games and the Satellite Club programme. Based and hosted in localities, an allowance of £12,000 – £15,752 (dependant on locality and responsibility) will be paid and training opportunities provided.

2016 Marketing and Communications Graduate
In addition, Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport (LRS) are looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications graduate, initially on a 6 month placement (could be extended to 12 months subject to funding/performance) to support the Marketing, Communications and Event functions at Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport.
The successful candidate will be based at the LRS offices at SportPark, Loughborough University, an allowance of £15,092 – £16,101 (pro rata) will be paid and training opportunities provided.

In order to be eligible to apply for either of the above roles, candidates must have completed their academic studies in the past two academic years, i.e. 2014/15 or 2015/16.
The closing date for applications for both the Sports Graduate Trainee Programme and the Marketing and Communications Graduate role is 5pm on Friday 17th June 2016, with interviews being held on Friday 8th July 2016 at SportPark, Loughborough University.

Start dates will vary depending on locality area/role; however successful candidates will be expected to attend an induction week during 22nd-26th August 2015. Please note that candidates may be asked to attend an additional meeting, prior to being offered a position.
