Applications are being invited for the position of Under 9s Assistant Coach with the Essex County FA Girls Centre of Excellence to deliver practical football sessions in-line with a technical programme.
Based at the Shrub End Sports & Community Centre in Colchester, the role involves one and a half training hours on Wednesdays plus three festivals per year during school half terms. The new Assistant Coach will start as soon as possible, with submissions required from interested individuals by Thursday 25th February.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, amongst other tasks, providing high-quality coaching and support, implementing a training and games programme in line with ‘Long-Term Player Development’ guidelines, supporting the Head Coach and overseeing the welfare of players within the Under 9s age group.
Desirable skills for the ideal applicant include an understanding of talent identification, previous attendance at the FA Youth Coaches Course, knowledge and understanding of working with young players, an ability to work in a team environment and an understanding of The FA’s Girls & Women’s Player Pathway.
