Job Description
Volleyball England Foundation is looking to recruit a maximum of 4 new Trustees to the Board. We want to increase our diversity and are looking for individuals with Fundraising, IT, Copy Writing and Marketing skills. We are happy to provide support and training to any individual who might like to broaden their experiences by being a Trustee of the charity.
The Board fulfils several functions, but its primary role is to provide strategic direction and leadership for the Foundation. Other functions include, but are not limited to: –
• Defining and ensuring compliance with the vision, aims, objectives and policies of the Foundation as set out in
Our Strategy Documents.
• Establishing policies and plans to achieve those objectives.
• Approving each year’s accounts and approve each year’s budget.
• Monitoring the Foundation’s performance in relation to plans, policies, budget, and decisions.
• Satisfying itself that the Foundation affairs are conducted in accordance with generally accepted standards of performance and propriety and in line with the guidance from the Charity Commission and Companies House.
