Bollocks to Poverty is ActionAid UK’s youth arm, reaching out to 16 to 24 year olds by giving them the opportunity to take action against global poverty in a way that is engaging, motivating and relevant to their lifestyles. This summer we have some exciting partnership projects including our presence at Latitude and Reading Festival and Ibiza Rocks! We are also launching a new Bollocks to Poverty merchandise range with a leading street wear brand.
6 Month Fixed Term Contract
ActionAid is a leading international charity. We support women and children in extreme poverty. We fight for their rights and for lasting change. We want you to support that fight by creating, publishing and marketing our digital content, products and opportunities for young people in the UK aged 16-24 which maximises the use of personal testimony to bring ActionAid’s brand story to life.
You must live and breathe social media, be an outstanding writer and have experience creating content for channels e.g. Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. You’ll be expected to generate topical infographics, blogs, memes to help young people engage with the big issues affecting the world.
Knowledge of youth culture and trends is paramount to this role as you’ll help us identify trending topics and news related to the music industry and youth culture to ensure we stay relevant and continue to inspire. You’ll also have some experience running youth digital marketing campaigns and with support from ActionAid’s Digital team you will inspire and engage young people with ActionAid’s work through digital content, volunteering opportunities and new merchandise products.
Important too with support from the digital team, will be the development of monitoring and evaluation for our youth digital channels to optimise performance.
