Studio MB, a specialist design agency based in Edinburgh, are looking for a talented, enthusiastic 3D designer/technician, with excellent CAD skills to join our evolving creative team.
Applicants should be talented and thorough designers capable of producing and managing complete drawing packages, including the detail development of key elements, ready to be issued for tender.
Ideally you will have proven previous experience working on projects in either architecture, museum, interior or retail design. You should be expert in Vectorworks and Sketchup, have demonstrable experience working on large scale commercial projects and a well-presented portfolio highlighting the ability to carry out construction detailing. 3D modelling skills and experience of BIM are beneficial but not essential.
Role and responsibility:
produce CAD drawings for presentation (plans, elevations, sections, details) and specification
delivering drawing packages for production, reviewing shop drawings and liaising with clients, suppliers and contractors
ability to prepare presentations through use of Adobe software programs such as InDesign
prepare relevant schedules for issue to a contractor
consideration of materials and cost according to set budget
