Academy Performance Analyst – Swindon Town Football Club

Job Description
Swindon Town Football Club is looking to appoint a part-time Performance Analyst to join and assist its growing Academy Performance Analysis department for the 2017/2018 season. The successful candidate will support the Foundation and Youth Development Phase (U9-U16) by providing high quality analysis. The individual must be committed and have a passion towards the development of young players.

Main Responsibilities:
Due to the fixture schedule, candidates must be able to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.

• Filming home games, post-match analysis, and individual player coding of Foundation and Youth Development Phases Games (U9-U16).
• Statistical data production and feedback.
• Database footage (Team and Individual).
• Carry out additional tasks set by the Head of Academy Performance Analysis or Coaching staff when required.

Personal Specification
• Understanding of Performance Analysis software (e.g. LongoMatch, Nacsport, Dartfish).
• Have access to own laptop.
• A commitment to seizing opportunities and developing personal excellence with any situation they are presented with.
• Have a good understanding of football and a desire to work within elite sport.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Able to concentrate for long periods of time and maintain an excellent standard.

Desirable
• Working towards or have an Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science or related degree.
• Coaching experience would be beneficial but not essential

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Performance Analysis but will also work closely with the manager and coaching staff.
