Mission Aviation Fellowship International (MAF I) is a not
for profit, Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft in some of the world’s poorest communities. Every three minutes a MAF aircraft is taking off or landing somewhere in the world to assist missions, churches, aid and development agencies and other national groups to share the love of God.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Analyst Programmer to develop and maintain business applications and databases throughout MAF I. The successful applicant will be involved in the full application life-cycle of
analysis, planning, design, programming, testing, deploying and maintenance.
Other duties would include assisting with the development of project plans, documenting new developments and changes, and on occasion assisting with providing training to key users of newly deployed applications.
The successful candidate will be able to significantly demonstrate experience in a similar role.
Experience in .NET programming, (C# or VB.NET) and web development are essential.
They will have good communication skills, and have excellent spoken and written English.
They will be familiar with Scrum or another agile software development framework, and be able to work in a distributed team.
They will be a communicative team player, and be able to take a broader perspective on how any issue fits within the wider operational context. They also need a willingness to travel to other MAF locations for up to 5 weeks per year.
There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a committed Christian. The post holder will be expected to take part in and lead prayer and biblical reflection, and to be a role model for the organisation in accordance with our Christian beliefs and standards in the workplace.
