This is a desirable in-house role for a PR who has a passion for all things in the art/design/architecture world.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two to three years of PR/communications experience (agency or in-house) and will be used to speaking to the press, monitoring the media, running social media channels, writing press releases, pulling together brochures/invites, managing image databases and answering phone calls.
The ideal person will be able to show initiative, will have a good command of the written English language and will have an interest/background in design or architecture.
The role is within a very creative design-studio sort of environment so, passion for everything “design” is key.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
supporting partner in charge of company communications output
first point of contact for all media enquiries
maintaining media relations and updating the contacts database
drafting and submitting press releases
helping to organise internal and external events
managing and editing content for the company website
managing and editing content for the image database
monitoring trade, local and national press
managing social media channels
relevant admin for communications team
creating presentations for partners, display boards and exhibition material
media briefings for partners
commissioning project and company photography
managing awards calendar, drafting and submitting industry awards
preparing departmental budget
Desirable skills:
experience of using InDesign/Photoshop
copywriting and proofreading
