Data Analyst – Loughborough – The Amateur Swimming Association

Job Description
The ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) is the national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water and synchronised swimming in England. With its head office based at the stunning SportPark on the Loughborough University campus, it is at an exciting point in its evolution. Under new senior management, the ASA are leading the aquatics industry to achieve increased participation in swimming (already the number one participation sport in the England).

As part of our on-going development we would like to have the strongest research and insight offerings in our industry. We are committed to going beyond just research alone and would like to use our vast skills and communication channels to influence behaviour and understand our consumer.

Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Insight Manager, the Data Analyst will play a key role in creating effective, statistical data analysis and reports for ASA stakeholders based on a variety of different data sources. You will be responsible for supporting the analysis of data from operators and partners around the sector, to enable the ASA to define and understand swimming market trends. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing the ASA’s database of operators.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Data Analyst will:
• Hold a degree or equivalent discipline such as statistics, economics or mathematics
• Proven experience of writing reports and sharing findings with audiences
• Be able to demonstrate excellent numeracy and analytical skills
• Have a logical approach to problems, are able to work under pressure and have great attention to detail
