Database and Insight Manager – West Ham United Football Club

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced data specialist to drive our Database Marketing & Insight function forward. Our successful candidate will report into our Senior Marketing Manager and Head of Digital; taking responsibility for delivering data services, including the maintenance of our data platforms, data selections, reporting, insight and analysis to support internal teams in order to drive sales and engagement through customer insight, analysis and campaign planning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ownership & development of the CRM database
• Management of all data platforms, ensuring all feeds are working correctly, usable and accurate.
• Optimize the targeting and segmentation of customer data to drive marketing effectiveness & increase return on investment
• Provide campaign data for multi-channel direct marketing campaigns
• Deliver campaign reporting including incremental and attribution values
• Responsible for CRM commercial performance & insight reporting
• Drive the data and customer communication strategy by turning data analysis into actionable insights
• Development and management of all propensity models and predictive modelling.
• Ownership of the West Ham United fan research strategy, running focus groups, surveys and any other research activity to build more understanding about our fan base.
• Development and delivery of the data capture and growth strategies for West Ham United.
• Management & development of a CRM Analyst

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas: –

Education/Qualifications/Training:
• Educated to degree/HND level or equivalent or specialist training
• Be familiar with ISO quality systems or similar

Specific Experience
• Extensive experience of as a database manager or key user of a CRM database
• Deep and demonstrable database infrastructure and management experience.
• Experience of using campaign platforms, specifically Microsoft Dynamics and SPSS or SAS tools.
• A thorough understanding of statistical techniques and methodologies and a track record of producing and effectively communicating in-depth and accurate analytics
• Depth of Data Analytics experience
• Extensive reporting experience
• Experience of building and delivering data campaigns and delivering testing strategies
• Quality control of data / analysis outputs

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
• Knowledge of data quality measurements methodology and reporting tools
• Able to propose and execute customer database segmentation
• Web integration technologies
• Understanding of using Mosaic profiles for data selections and analysis
• Knowledge of customer contact strategies
• A solid understanding of database marketing principles and the ability to add value through audience selection and segmentation

Hours:
