Woods Bagot is looking for one or more researchers/designers to join our SUPERSPACE design research group in the London and/or Sydney offices.

What is SUPERSPACE

SUPERSPACE is the design research group of Woods Bagot architects, developing spatial systems for architecture and urban design. Computational design methods are applied to generate evidence-based user-centred environments. Spatial systems are developed in-house by a team of multi-disciplinary designers.

SUPERSPACE works internationally on the boundary between academia and practice and has conducted several research funding projects in collaboration with universities across Europe and the US.

Who should apply

The successful candidate(s) will have excellent programming and design skills, with ambitions to apply their skills across architecture, interiors, master planning and spatial analysis projects.

Requirements:

strong design skills
intermediate programming knowledge
works well as part of a diverse global team
two – five years work experience in a similar field (highly desirable)

Key Responsibilities:

code development for design and research
design, strategy and methodology development of SUPERSPACE
knowledge dissemination within the global studio

In addition, you will have qualifications and experience in one or more of the following areas:

architectural design and urban planning
computing science/artificial intelligence/machine learning/cognitive science/mathematics/physics
GIS/data analysis/mining/visualisation in spatial environments
