Developer – British Canoeing

Job Description
Location: Based at British Canoeing Offices, National Watersports Centre, Adbolton Lane, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham, NG12 2LU
Hours: Full time, 37 Hours per week.
Salary: Band 3 (Non Coaching) £21,845 – £31,456, dependent upon experience
British Canoeing is the United Kingdom’s Governing Body for the sport and recreation of canoeing and kayaking. This is an exciting time to join British Canoeing, as we are making progress in delivering Stronger Together – an exciting and ambitious strategy for Paddlesport in the UK.
You will be part of a small, busy Digital/IT team and help support the Lead Developer in the maintenance and development of a growing WordPress multi-site system serving the needs of people involved in paddlesports.
It is an engaging and diverse role that will cover a range of projects from helping to develop a comprehensive new event entry and ticketing system, to plug-in, web app, and athlete results data functions development.
This will suit a post-entry level developer with at least a year’s experience, a good working understanding of WordPress, and strong PHP and Javascript skills. Note, this is a back-end role but a small amount of front-end work will be required.
