Our Communications team work together with sports and wider system partners to engage and inspire the nation through telling our athletes’ stories on their journey to the Games across various communication channels, whilst also working to protect and enhance UK Sport’s reputation and ensure transparency and accountability as a publicly funded body. We support business objectives through the delivery of strategically and creatively designed, integrated multimedia campaigns and we work closely with our partners in The National Lottery family to help champion the amazing impact of Good Cause funding on our nation.

What the role entails
As our Digital Communications Officer we will be looking to you to maximise the profile and understanding of UK Sport’s work and the social impact it delivers through National Lottery Good Cause funding, through well planned, strategically minded and well delivered Digital content.
You will also have responsibility for leading specific projects as required, including the delivery of UK Sport’s Digital Communications strategy for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On a day to day basis, you will manage the UK Sport website and social media channels and advise the business on how to deliver engaging and on brand Digital Communications.
Partnership is at the heart of this role and you will work alongside colleagues in the Communications and Partnerships Directorate in devising and delivering integrated multi-channel campaigns to support the business objectives of UK Sport, The National Lottery and other partners through a range of communications tools, focusing particularly on Digital.
Your skills, interests and what you can bring…
You will have related experience in a similar working environment and as a result can evidence good Digital Communications skills and the ability to produce engaging content and use analytics to inform and adapt your approach.
You love to be creative and seek out new and innovative ways to tell UK Sport’s story and reach new audiences. A passion for storytelling, belief in the power of sport and the Olympic and Paralympic values will also enable you to thrive in this role.
