We are looking to grow our digital transformation capabilities and more frequently our clients are looking to us for advice and guidance in understanding how disruptive technologies may impact their business, create new opportunities or provide an opportunity to transform how they engage with their customers.
Through the adoption of Human Centred design (HCD) approaches we are looking to support our clients in adopting novel solutions based on the latest in digital approaches and technologies. Whether as a senior consultant leading the engagement, or part of an agile pod, it’s a great time to join the team – we are changing the way we look, behave and do business. As a result, we’re looking for a talented individual who can help deliver these new and innovative projects.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
You will be a T-shaped person, someone who already makes a difference in your area of expertise, but also is comfortable exploring and understand the wider context, a business outcomes advocate and a curious technologist.
We are looking for people who are interested and passionate. You will be someone who is curious, likes to explore the implications of new technologies and is happy to tinker when the opportunity presents itself.
As a technology-focused professional who understands the creative process you will understand the need of prototyping early, facilitating prototype testing and implementing changes. You are someone who has a good grasp of the latest disruptive technology trends and is comfortable shaping web as well as mobile and other digital experiences.
Our clients will be looking to you for advice and guidance and you will be someone who enjoys supporting others on a journey of discovery – underpinning learning through doing, collaboration and co-creation.
You will already know how to develop digital solutions and the importance of UX for shaping and designing the Experience layers as part of a Target operating Model, and you will help shape our culture, inspire our customers and colleagues alike and be prepared to be an evangelist for HCD within CGI. As such internally at CGI the Digital Solution Architect will:
• Contribute to the vision for CGI Advisory services ensuring we address current and emerging client business needs.
• Contribute to the Advisory business strategy and drive the business forwards through your direct engagement with clients and your collaboration with the wider Advisory team.
• Contribute specialist consumer, data and application knowledge and experience, specifically around both disruptive digital and more traditional systems Integration application approaches.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• The successful candidate will offer demonstrable Consulting experience, ideally from a User Experience, Service Design or Digital Transformation Consulting background.
• Comfortable leading an engagement at senior levels with the client, but equally happy to work as part of a dynamic team to deliver a collaborative output.
• Experience in prototyping, wireframing and a willingness to get your hands dirty to delivery impactful outcomes for our clients is welcome.
• A broad awareness of end to end service design, incorporating the use of Persona’s, User Journeys and the creation of service blueprints (or similar).
• Demonstrative experience in the use and application of disruptive technologies and end to end digitisation to improve customer/colleague/employee experience as part of a service landscape or Customer engagement..
• Certification in User Experience design or service design qualifications would be advantageous, but practical knowledge of how to apply these is important.
• Agile delivery experience (Also at scale), the ability to create Epic/user story as part of a portfolio of works is desirable and being able to articulate and recommend approaches for clients is important
• A background in traditional Technology Architecture is advantageous as is experience of the role of creative technologists in a product design environment.
• You will be comfortable presenting solutions both in written documents and workshop situations, leading and facilitating discussions at the highest level.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills. Experience of coaching/mentoring is desirable.
• Excellent time management, proactivity and ability to work on own initiative.
