Editor – Growth Company Investor – Vitesse Media – London, England

A rare opportunity has arisen to become the new editor of Growth Company Investor, the UK’s number one publication specialising on small-caps.

Widely recognised as the leading authority on fast-growing companies, GCI’s loyal subscribers call on the monthly magazine and website (growthcompany.co.uk) to help their investment success and understand how the AIIM market is growing.

The role will involve writing a stream of investment recommendations and research on companies in the sector, identifying potentially undervalued stocks that would be of interest to readers.

GCI’s coverage is extensive as well as insightful, and the editor will be comfortable scrutinising the board of directors of a potential investment, considering the angles that will be of importance to the subscribers.

This position would suit a senior financial journalist, section editor or deputy editor looking to step up to an editor role, with considerable experience writing on stocks and shares and analysing the UK smaller companies market, particularly AIM. Those who have written on more than one sector (i.e. mining and oil and gas/technology) would be a great asset, but this is not essential.

With GCI soon relaunching its website and releasing a new mobile app, experience in growing online and social audiences would be hugely desirable as we seek someone to lead this exciting new chapter.

An eagerness to be the public face of the magazine to readers, companies and key market participants at events and meetings is also necessary. GCI organises the hugely influential Quoted Company Awards, which has been the UK’s premier event recognising the achievements of quoted companies outside of the FTSE 350 for the past 11 years.

How to apply

Please send your CV, covering letter and salary expectations to ben.rossi@vitessemedia.co.uk, in addition to three companies in the small-cap sector that are undervalued on an investment metric of your choosing. For each stock recommendation please write no more than 400-500 words. In your covering letter please set out why you are interested in writing on small-caps in particular and what the biggest lessons are that you have learned in your investing career/education.
