The role: The main objective of this role is to finalise high quality content ready for publication and will involve:
Substantive copy editing.
Working to house style and quality standards.
Commissioning content and liaising with freelance writers.
Planning content.
Working on a variety of content types, for the website and other digital channels.
The candidate: We are seeking an experienced Editor to deliver exceptional content that educates and delights our readers.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a journalism qualification or equivalent.
Have 3+ years editing experience in a media organisation, preferably (but not essential) in the following areas, Business, Leadership, Management, Career Development, L&D, HR and will have an interest in business and psychology topics.
Be detail-orientated, you will write beautifully and edit flawlessly.
Enjoy working in a hands-on way.
Be very organised, flexible and deadline-driven.
Have experience using online publishing software packages.
Be proactive and a self-starter.
Be a team player.
Have the ability to build contacts and use them effectively.
be fast, accurate and able to follow style guidelines.

The role is based at Mind Tools’ offices in mid Sussex, easily accessible from Brighton, Worthing and Horsham. Due to the out-of-town location, the successful candidate would benefit from having the use of a car.
The salary depends on the skills and experience of the candidate.
