Aldworth James & Bond are urgently looking to recruit an estimator/bid coordinator to join our team of designers, architects, project managers and makers.
We are a creative build, interiors and joinery company working on a range of high-end interiors jobs, both commercial and residential, in the UK and Europe. As an organisation we are known for our focus on quality, attention to detail and passionate approach to projects.
This is a permanent full-time role that is based in our workshop and studio in Greenwich, south east London.
Key skills, experience and areas of responsibility are:
you will have extensive experience within the interiors fit our industry and be familiar with working on large scale, high-end and complex commercial and residential projects
highly skilled in estimation and cost management
focused attention to detail and fantastic organisation skills
strong knowledge of all areas of the construction industry, specifically interior fit outs
the ability to read drawings and plans in detail
excellent communication skills with both clients and other members of the team
About the role
The main purpose for your role will consist of:
preparing valuations
site visits and surveys
working with our creative director and production director on estimates and cost management
cost plans
cost reporting
procurement, variations and final accounts
You will be working on a range of projects, and within our team of directors, project managers, architects, operations manager and carpenters and fabricators.
