Background on Last Word

Last Word is an independent financial media solutions provider behind four key brands for discretionary portfolio managers, private bankers and independent financial advisers specialising in investments. We aim to be the definitive guide for those involved in fund selection, asset allocation and portfolio construction. Our publications are read in the UK, continental Europe, Middle East, South Africa and Asia.

As well as its market-leading magazines and news analysis websites, Last Word runs over 90 events across five continents that are designed for fund selectors, investment advisers, wealth managers and institutional investors. The focus of each conference depends on the specific audience, ranging from big IFA events in Dubai and Singapore to a tightly-controlled alternative investments discretionary seminar in London, from an institutional investment forum in Stockholm to a wealth management conference in Barcelona.

Our headquarters are in London, with offices in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Portfolio Adviser:

The Portfolio Adviser (PA) brand has established itself as a hugely successful magazine and news analysis website as well as a strong provider of high quality events in the UK fund management market.

Portfolio Adviser was launched in 2006 as a monthly magazine aimed at IFAs, discretionaries and other managers of high-net worth wealth based in the UK and Channel Islands. PA aims to keep its readers up to date with the latest investment ideas and practices, product launches, macroeconomic views and strategic development.

In 2016, PA will operate 21 events in the UK and the Channel Islands and publishes a monthly magazine which circulates 6,000 copies in the UK and Channel Islands.

The events are viewed by its clients as independent, high quality and trustworthy platforms from which to meet investors, showcase new investment ideas and increase their profile in the UK market.

The majority of events are based on a specific investment theme with each fund group presenting on a unique topic within that particular theme – taking this approach ensures no duplication of content as well as allowing us to invite the appropriate delegate to the relevant event.
