We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to lead Computer Science in an Academy that is at an exciting point in its development.
OIEA delivers an 11-18 curriculum and has around 800 pupils on roll. The school is an important part of its local community, but it has faced recent challenges including a ‘serious weakness’ Ofsted judgment, a merger and a falling school roll. We are making progress in our vision to give all pupils at the school an outstanding education, and we hope you can join us moving the academy forward.
We are looking for a talented and inspirational professional who:
is an outstanding teacher, with a resilient character and a strong personal drive
has proven experience across all key stages of leading change and raising achievement
is able to lead on the development of teaching and learning and support others in improving their practice
can take a strategic role in tracking progress and holding others to account
has a clear understanding of the national changes to the curriculum and how this affects Computing
demonstrates a love of Computing which is evident in their day to day classroom practice
is themselves a ‘learner’ and reflective practitioner
We are looking for a person with the creativity and vision to drive improvements in this area of the Academy and who is able to motivate students to achieve to the best of their ability.
This will be a challenge but it’s your chance to make a real difference to a school and its community. By joining OIEA the successful candidate will have access to a range of tailored professional development opportunities within the academy and across the OAT network, including accredited middle and senior leadership development programmes.
