Overview:
Lee Broom is one of the UK’s leading product and interior designers. From our studio in Shoreditch and warehouse and factory in Bow, we design, manufacture, assemble and distribute our lighting and furniture products to 40 countries through our network of dealers and direct to the architect and designer community. We also design high end, luxury commercial and residential interiors creating bespoke products for our projects.
We are now recruiting a head of logistics to manage the ordering, assembly and distribution of our stock products and manage the production of our made to order and bespoke products with external suppliers and our growing in-house capability.
Key responsibilities:
manage our logistics team and warehouse facilities to ensure our stock products and made to order products are manufactured to the highest quality and delivered on time
manage all aspects of the warehouse – deliveries to and from our studio and warehouse, stock control, movements within warehouse and our off site storage, quality control, picking, packing, crating, dispatch
for stock products – forecast supplies and stock levels, raise orders, manage suppliers
for products made in-house – forecast component supplies and manage stock levels, raise orders, manage assembly with our resources temporary resources that you train and manage
for specialist products made in house – manage our manufacturing capability with our production team
for other specialist products – manage manufacturing process to deadlines with suppliers and factories
plan and forecast space, people and capability requirements
identify and realise opportunities for financial and process efficiencies
Essential experience and skills:
at least three years experience in a senior logistics/manufacturing role
experience of managing all of the above and experience of forecasting and future planning to assess where capacity problems may arise and identifying new approaches and processes to manage growth efficiently and effectively
excellent understanding and experience of all aspects of the end to end production and logistics process for high volume stock products and lower volume made to order products
excellent track record of team leadership and managing relationships with suppliers and logistics companies
experience of successfully managing internal relationships with sales and production teams
high level of numeracy and literacy in English and ability to work in the UK
