We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer of Art and Design, to join us in the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Solihull College, from December 2015.

Possessing a Degree in an Art and Design related subject, the successful candidate will teach on, and contribute to, the development of BTEC Level 1 Visual Arts and OCR Level 2 Art and Design courses. As the role will include planning, teaching, and assessing a teaching qualification teamed with excellent interpersonal skills is essential. Previous teaching experience is desirable as is experience of working as a pastoral or personal tutor.

The successful candidate will provide academic and pastoral support to students and respond to challenges in a creative way and so ensuring that students are encouraged and developed to reach their full potential. An understanding of the needs and challenges of teaching a range of students is essential with a strong commitment to Equal Opportunities.
