The London Borough of Harrow is moving forward with a once in a lifetime ambitious and exciting regeneration programme. This includes plans to regenerate some of our outdated Council estates alongside building new council homes for rent and shared ownership homes as well as delivering our vision for the Heart of Harrow Opportunity and Housing Zone resulting in 5,500 homes, two schools and 3,000 jobs over the next decade.
Housing regeneration manager
We are recruiting for a regeneration manager to join our newly formed housing regeneration team to be responsible for developing and delivering a programme for the regeneration of Council estates starting with the complete redevelopment of the Grange Farm estate. This will see the demolition of around 250 council homes to be replaced with around 500 new homes of different tenures.
Your responsibilities would include leading and managing feasibility appraisals to determine the appropriate regeneration options for the Council’s housing stock and project managing a team of consultants to deliver long term regeneration projects working closely with residents to ensure all objectives are achieved.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
excellent knowledge and understanding of the housing development process from start to finish
experience of developing and delivering complex regeneration projects
experience in budget management and letting and managing consultancy and development contracts
degree or equivalent level experience in housing development/housing regeneration
excellent networking and communication skills with a wide range of audiences including tenants and leaseholders
evidence of self-motivation and commitment to work on own initiative
