We’re the leading creative barware manufacturer in the UK and we’re looking for an industrial designer to help design, develop and deliver a wide range of products for our clients.
The right candidate will be relied upon to take creative concepts and make them a physical and practical reality. You should be capable of managing multiple projects at one time, have a broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes and be able to communicate effectively with the team, the suppliers and our clients.
You should have a minimum of three years experience and be a self-starter who’s prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.

be adaptable and open-minded and have the energy and flexibility to work in the hectic world of a growing business
have excellent visualisation skills and ability to express and illustrate
an interest in new technologies and trends and the interest to develop that knowledge within the bar/catering sector
have a fundamental understanding of the bottom line and ensure all work can help maintain the profitability of the business
be confident with numbers and be able to price jobs effectively
ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Day to day duties:
taking verbal or written briefs and providing effective solutions for those briefs
developing creative concepts & designs to fit with clients needs across a wide range of products
developing sketches, visualisations, CAD drawings and other visual guides – either by your self or instructing others both inside and outside the business
making sure the product solutions fit within the budget allowed for the job
sourcing of all materials that are required to complete the job
presenting your ideas and costings to colleagues so that they can effectively manage their projects and clients
attend client meetings and communicate your ideas in a confident and articulate way
ensuring a smooth transition from creative visual to artwork to production (making sure your colleagues are armed with all information required to complete their task effectively)
overseeing all jobs that are being made by our workshop
overseeing the production of a wide variety of products simultaneously with the various manufacturers/suppliers and ensuring that those products are on track and on budget by accurately recording all your time and materials
communicating those timelines and costs with colleagues to ensure they can manage clients appropriately
raising red flags where things are not going to plan and identifying ways to get projects back on track
incorporating amendments when requested by clients and identifying how those amendments may impact on cost of the job
ensuring all products are quality checked and fit for use in their environment before they get shipped to clients
managing the projects via the group project management system
developing a database of all suppliers and manufacturers
developing a system for recording all details of each job – both for bespoke and off-the-shelf products
adhering to the procedures, processes and admin of the business
keep and up-to-date picture of visual trends and styles affecting our industry
identifying products that can be bought or developed to become part of our Off-The-Shelf collection
