Junior CAD technician/designer
Joseph Waller Fabrications Ltd is a fabrication facility based in South East London, specialising in the production and management of high end three dimensional projects for internationally recognised artists, architects and designers.
We like to work as an extension of the client’s own practise so we are often involved with projects from the initial design stage, working with the client, utilising CAD programs to develop designs and concepts in order to translate them successfully into the workshop.
We are currently seeking a freelance junior CAD technician / designer who is highly proficient working with Rhino as well as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite to support the senior team in the development and production of drawings and 3D models.
The role is currently temporary, with an immediate start, to assist us with some new, exciting upcoming projects. Going forward, there is the possibility of this position becoming a permanent role to a suitable person.
We are looking for someone who will be enthusiastic, dynamic and willing to be versatile and adaptable within the job as the work we carry out can be extremely varied, often challenging but also exciting.
The job will require a level of design input with use of initiative and the candidate should be actively forward thinking in communicating ideas.
Experience with CNC applications and an understanding of milling and machining processes is preferable but not essential.
The candidate should also have a general interest in art, design and architecture and be keen to get involved with the design and build of creative projects.
Rates of pay negotiable dependant on experience and abilities but we must stress this is a junior position.
How to apply
If you think you have the relevant skills and experience please apply with a letter of application, your CV and at least two examples of drawings created on Rhino software to emma@joewaller.net.
