Hawkins\Brown are looking for highly talented, creative junior interior designers with originality, flair and a proven track record of designing innovative, challenging and thoroughly thought through projects.
Successful candidates will be offered a vibrant, creative working environment and the opportunity to work closely with architects and designers in a multidisciplinary studio.
Candidates must have a passion for design and culture, an appreciation and understanding of materials and detail, as well as technical know how. They must be adept in all stages of the design process, from initial concept stage and presentation, visualisation, model making, detailing and technical design drawings.
They must be able to demonstrate confident ‘client’ handling skills, an ability to collaborate with fellow interior designers, architectural teams, artists and other design consultants, combined with an ability to organise and manage their own workload. A good understanding of current lighting and sustainability design and practise would also be advantageous.
Further requirements:
previous experience in a similar role required
conceptualise, challenge and drive forward thinking design
BA Hons or MA interior architecture qualification (or equivalent)
excellent presentation, conceptual and visualising skills, whether freehand or computer aided.
proficiency in 2D Vectorworks, InDesign and Revit
fluent in written and spoken English
excellent and drawing and visualisation skills
Salary will be determined by a candidate’s individual experience.
