In 2012 standards achieved in virtually all subjects were better than the national average. There is an unremitting drive to develop good teaching that stretches students. The Design department is well staffed and resourced. It delivers an exciting range of Art, Graphics, Product Design, Textiles and Digital Art courses throughout the age and ability range. The department offers a full range of courses at both GCSE and A level. Student GCSE outcomes are of a very high standard regularly exceeding national averages, at A level excellent results have led to successful progression to university.
The successful candidate will be innovative with the ability and drive to implement fresh ideas, contributing to a high performing team. Focussed on the development of a stimulating curriculum enabling all pupils to achieve their potential. Highly motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate both staff and students. Resilient, adaptable and reflective.
