The Sigmar interior design studio based in central London are looking for an experienced mid-weight interior designer/project coordinator to join their design team, working on varied residential projects.
Key personal skills:
strong account management skills, highly organised, strong administration skills
flexible and willing to tackle all parts of a project
a positive can-do attitude and approachability are of the essence
experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously and switching between tasks seamlessly
personable character, able to deal with clients confidently
confident to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Key technical skills:
full BA in interior design
proficient in using VECTORWORKS (Sigmar uses only Vectorworks to produce drawings), Indesign, Photoshop and Excel
minimum three years’ experience in the high-end residential sector, able to demonstrate experience of completed projects
strong design and technical skills
able to produce strong drawings, visuals and sketches – exceptional attention to detail
excellent time management, and ability to prioritise workload
exceptional fluency in English, both verbal and written – excellent communication skills
FF&E knowledge. An excellent knowledge of bespoke furniture and joinery design
someone who could regularly visit the sites and have enough knowledge about the construction process to answer queries
have experience in managing people previously, being used to assessing quality of work and managing their time
Key day-to-day tasks of the candidate include:
liaising and communicating with clients, and managing their expectations
performing day-to-day administrative tasks in the office, and for each project
work with a team, delegating tasks and providing support to and supervising other designers
work closely with the creative director to prepare, develop and produce client concept designs and presentation documents that include plans, sections, elevations, perspective visuals, furniture drawings, 3D renders
managing project budgets and orders
networking and liaising with suppliers
Position is a one year temporary, with a view to extend

Salary: £21-24k
