Hourly design and production operation work with the potential of transitioning to permanent employee, with salary and benefits, for a startup design company in London, England.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate, designer or maker to demonstrate his or her design skills and produce something entertaining, functional, and outside of the norm. FABberz is a collection of people, spaces, and machines working together to make it easier for people to make just about anything. You will be working in our central London production facility.
Key duties:
assist marketing efforts by creating interesting branded visuals to be displayed via print and digital advertising and social platforms
work with clients to transform their creative visions or designs into unique, beautiful and upscale products
prototype original designs and products for approval
create and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency with regard to creative execution
operate laser cutting machines
ensure production goals are achieved
package orders for shipment
provide a high quality and fast service for our customers’ success
Reporting:

Key qualifications:
experience with product design (from conception to finished product)
proficient skills with Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD and Rhino
experience with laser cutting and engraving
work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
motivated, clever, efficient, detail-oriented, organised and enjoy making untraditional works
Other qualifications we love but don’t require:
3D modelling skills with SketchUp, Rhino, and/or 3DS Max
Rhino plugin skills (Grasshopper, Monkey, etc)
Photoshop skills
experience in project management
Full-time:
