UHA London are currently seeking a talented and experienced London-based, Hindi speaking project architect for our London studio to work on a number of upcoming projects in India.
The successful candidate must be perfectly fluent in both English and Hindi in both written and spoken and have a minimum of eight years of work experience at leading international practices preferably both in India and the UK. The candidate should be registered with the Council of Architecture of India and be familiar with both Delhi and Mumbai bylaws.
The candidate must have exceptional design and 3D skills and be well versed with BIM and parametric software with a proven record of working on large international projects with complex geometries.
UHA London is an emerging international architecture and design studio headquartered in London, managing projects across the Americas, Asia and Europe. The studio is involved in a wide range of projects varying in context, function and scale that encompass architecture, masterplanning, and interior design.
Reporting directly to the directors, this key role will involve:
Principal responsibilities:
full-time design lead of project team with complete understanding of the project
daily communication and co-ordination with client and international consultants
responsible for co-ordination of project 3-D model setup and development
prepare drawing packages, images, schedules and other design documentation as required
daily co-ordination with UHA Indian subsidiary in Mumbai
assist directors with business development in India and Sri Lanka
Essential skills, qualities or experience:
eight plus years of previous experience at international level architectural practice(s)
fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
strong design skills with ability to take a project from concept to construction
strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure handling large and complex projects
strong graphic sense with ability to put together presentation document on abode CS packages
strong technical ability in the detailing of drawing packages up to and including construction documentation
expert knowledge of both AutoCAD and Microstation 2/3D and generative components
proven experience on high-rise luxury residential towers
registered architect with the Council of Architects of India
strong technical ability in the detailing of drawing packages up to and including construction documentation
full USGBC LEED credentials
willing and able to travel to India on a regular basis and for extended stays
Desirable:
Master’s degree in Architecture from leading UK university
fluency in Hindi
familiarity with Mumbai and Delhi bylaws, standards and practices
knowledge of Indian culture and traditions
experience at UK-based leading architect studio
programming skills with ability to develop digital tools for design and digital fabrication
Salary will be dependent upon experience and will be from £35,000 to £40,000 plus annual bonus and benefits.
