The London Borough of Harrow is on the cusp of a once in lifetime regeneration programme seeing investment from private and public partners in the order of £1.75b mainly focussed on its heart of Harrow opportunity and housing zone area, delivering 5,500 homes, two schools and 3,000 jobs over the next decade. Regeneration manager (Design)
The recently established regeneration design + delivery unit is now looking for a regeneration manager (design) to join its growing team. The post holder will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a portfolio of regeneration projects on council land. In addition, the post holder will be required to act as a senior adviser to the council on urban design, both as part of the council’s development management service and on borough-wide place-making initiatives including public realm and other infrastructure projects.
To be successful in this role you would need to have the below skills & experience:
knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the development process and requirements for successful urban regeneration with a focus on urban design
knowledge of programme and project management methods
significant experience of developing and delivering complex projects and regeneration programmes
experience in line management of staff and procurement and management of in-house consultants
Experience of design quality review of complex schemes
