HIMSS Europe is looking for a self-motivated, tenacious reporter for our pan-European news platform-Health IT Central, which focuses on the increasing number of daily developments in digital health.
The candidate will primarily be responsible for growing the UK focused element of the site known as The British Journal of Healthcare Computing. As the first full-time reporter, this will be a unique opportunity to shape content, create breaking news and generate your own contacts to really make your mark on the publication.
Reporting in to the managing editor, you will also be expected to interview numerous high profile politicians and speakers from our portfolio of events that run throughout the year.
This role is perfect for a trade reporter looking to take ownership of a new publication, a graduate or NCTJ certificate holder eyeing a first break in journalism. In any case, good news sense, excellent written skills and attention to detail are the key qualities required.
Although experience in the sector is not imperative, we need someone who can get to grips with the politics of the NHS, as well as having an enthusiasm for IT and technology such as mobile devices and apps.
In return, we offer a full-time position in a small, fun and flexible London-based office that is part of a global company with a mission to transform healthcare through IT. There is also potential for fantastic career development including international travel and growing a team.
