Overview:

Our team in Handforth is seeking a senior/associate urban planner. This role is permanent but can be considered on either a full time or part time basis.

Your focus will be on development management planning but with flexibility to be involved in policy planning, regeneration and master planning. IBI Group enjoys an established workload in education and health sectors with exciting potential to further develop growing residential and mixed use capabilities.

Reporting directly to the studio director as part of an eight strong planning team with 100 multi-disciplinary staff in the region, 250 in the UK and 2,500 globally.

Responsibilities:

leading on development management for IBI programmes, projects and commercial commissions in the north west and across the UK
providing the lead client planning contact role on specific projects
leading or supporting planning, regeneration and master planning commissions
liaison with internal IBI architects and other disciplines
managing resources and the financial performance of projects
client relations and business development
staff management of one or two team members
keeping up to date with planning and related CPD and sharing with the team
supporting studio directors with planning, business development and related tasks

Skills and qualifications:

thorough experience of UK statutory planning policy, procedures and requirements
team working ethos
excellent written communication skills
town planning degree
MRTPI

Must have UK experience in the allocated area.
