UHA London are currently seeking a talented, certified and experienced senior BIM manager and project architect to oversee the implementation of BIM on a number of current and upcoming projects in our London studio.
The successful candidate must be fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish in both written and spoken and have a minimum of ten years of work experience using ArchiCAD from concept stage to construction documentation.
The candidate must be an experienced project architect and manager with both exceptional BIM technical skills and genuine passion for architecture and design.
UHA London is an emerging international architecture and design studio headquartered in London, managing projects across the Americas, Asia and Europe. The studio is involved in a wide range of projects varying in context, function and scale that encompass architecture, masterplanning, and interior design.
Reporting directly to the directors and in charge of the offices BIM implementation, this key role will involve:
Principal responsibilities:
full-time BIM manager for the entire London studio
responsible for implementing all project BIM setup and development throughout the studio
responsible for training employees on BIM
responsible for delivering large and complex full service projects on BIM
main point of contact for Portuguese speaking clients and consultants
daily communication and co-ordination with client and international consultants
prepare drawing packages, images, schedules and other design documentation as required
assist directors with business development in Brazil and throughout South American continent
Essential skills, qualities or experience:
ten plus years of previous experience of working on ArchiCAD and other BIM products on both large and small projects at all stages of design
certified BIM trainer with proven experience of training architects and organising BIM workshops
programming skills with ability to develop digital tools for design and fabrication
strong design skills with ability to take a project from concept to construction
strong organisational and project management skills and ability to work under pressure handling large and complex projects
strong technical ability in the detailing of drawing packages up to and including construction documentation
willing and able to travel internationally
an easy going team player willing to take initiative
Desirable:
Master’s degree in Architecture from leading UK university
fluency in Spanish familiarity with Brazilian market
knowledge of Brazilian culture and traditions
well-travelled and fast learner
Salary will be dependent upon experience and will range between £33,000 to £37,000 plus annual bonus plus benefits.
