Move Publishing is seeking a talented online journalist to support its growing digital presence.
The publisher is home to the hugely successful publications Your Move and Move Commercial and over the last few years has taken great strides in developing its online strategy.
The successful applicant for this newly created role will be instrumental in helping the company to push forward with its ambitious digital growth plans.
The ideal candidate will:
Be NCTJ qualified
Have at least three years’ experience in a journalism role, with much of that spent writing for the web
Have exceptional knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Vine, and Tumblr
Be fully conversant with Google analytics and other web-based monitoring packages.
Be able to determine which content will perform best and adjust output accordingly
Have extensive experience of using social media to generate traffic
Be able to produce accurate stories quickly
Have a strong news sense
Be able to manage tight deadlines
Have experience of developing social media strategies
Have experience working with a variety of CMS
An understanding of North West business including the commercial property market would be beneficial but is not essential.
Duties will include:
Producing engaging content for both YourMoveMagazine.com and MoveCommercial.com
Working with the editor to devise an effective social media strategy
Producing creative social media content and increasing follower numbers
Documenting and presenting social media and website performance analytics to the editor and directors
Creating targeted HTML campaigns
Devising creative features for both websites
Working with the sales team to ensure advertisers’ needs are met and developing new advertising platforms
Developing extensive contacts in the Liverpool property and culture industry in order to secure exclusive news
Developing relationships with industry figures
Representing the publications at industry events
