The Mayor’s Regeneration Team has been leading the way in innovative, well-designed, place-based regeneration. Working with London’s best design and architectural talent, the team has led over a hundred projects across London to celebrate and support the unique quality and character of each local place.

Two exciting new opportunities have arisen in the team to help take forward our work.

Senior project officer (GLA2478)

FTC or Secondment until 30 Sep 16

The first, will lead on our work in outer East London, coordinating across a number of agencies and London boroughs to devise, design, procure and implement a range of regeneration projects and interventions. This will include supporting delivery in key regeneration areas such as the Royal Docks and London riverside. From high street renewal to supporting places of work, to underpinning housing growth with supportive infrastructure the preferred candidate will require experience of delivering large projects and a strong grasp of the economic development, planning and the place making agenda in London.

Senior project officer (STAF611)

FTC or secondment for 12 months

The second opportunity will lead on new ways to engage with a public audience, and tell the story of our work: redesigning public spaces and buildings, creating and supporting community and business groups, setting up shared workspaces and shaping new development. We are particularly interested in using film, photography and social media to give greater narrative to our projects, explore their social impact, and better understand their legacy.

We’re looking for someone with strong graphic and written communication skills and the ability to design and manage the production of publications, exhibitions and events and to work with the team to develop strong editorial, social media and web content.
