Hexjam is a youth lifestyle publisher. Our content is consumed by millions of 18-24s each month across the web, email and social media. We are on the hunt for a staff writer to produce awesome, engaging and entertaining content.

The Writer will be responsible for producing articles and sourcing images in a fun, fast-paced environment. You will craft compelling copy and hilarious headlines, with occasional research expeditions into the depths of the internet for helpful and longer form features to be developed.

You will be working within a small team of passionate, funny and creative writers, reporting to the Editor. We like our content freshly brewed, so you’ll participate in a pitch meeting every morning.

If you are brimming with fantastic, original ideas and want to put them in front of millions of 18-24s, we’re going to get on famously.

 Requirements

You are immersed in popular content, with a terrifying knowledge of fantastic and under-appreciated websites. You will also be well-versed in the culture, attitudes and issues of the 18-24 demographic.
You will be bursting with ideas for content, opinions and attitude to take Hexjam to the next level
You will have a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
NTCJ qualification or equivalent
You will have at least a year’s experience working in online media and will have plenty of experience creating lifestyle content for the web. Please provide us with links to your portfolio or blog otherwise we will not be able to consider your application (note when considering what to highlight that we don’t publish film, music reviews or football articles!).
You’ll also have an excellent grasp of using social media to maximise the reach of your content, and be full of ideas about how to get the best out of every platform.
