London-Based design producer Dzek seeks a full-time studio manager with a keen eye for detail, impeccable communication skills and an appreciation for design to join a dynamic design company in it’s early growth stages.
The ideal candidate will have previous office experience, demonstrate a proactive attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced design studio. The successful candidate will be naturally hands-on, flexible and reliable, and will have the ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload. Time management and organisational skills are a must.
Responsibilities include:
general administration: monitoring stationery supplies, filing, basic bookkeeping, invoicing, and developing internal systems
sales and logistics support: initial point of contact for enquiries and follow through on shipments
PA support to director: Scheduling and managing diary, booking travel, external communication
IT: basic troubleshooting of technical problems, liaising with technology vendors and external tech support as needed
press and marketing: writing and designing press releases, responding, logging and archiving all press requests including furniture and sample loans. Organising and managing magazine feature requests. Writing and disseminating the quarterly Newsletter. Social media content
database: Maintaining the contact database, organising mailouts for events and invitations.
website maintenance: updating new projects and uploading text and images onto CMS
Essential Skills:
Applicants must be able to work independently and reliably, with strong multi-tasking, organisational, communication and customer-relation skills and must equally enjoy working as an integral part of a fledgling design company.
Applicants must be confident working on Apple Macs, and demonstrate a very good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the Adobe CS suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English and should demonstrate previous experience working in a similar role with a valid UK/EEA work permit.
Salary is dependent on experience.
