Brody Associates is looking for a studio runner/studio admin support to join the team at its London hub. Reporting to the business manager, creative director and working alongside the creative team, you will undertake a range of day-to-day basic duties to ensure the effective running of the studio. Reliable, proactive, hard working, confident and trustworthy you will not only be the main front-of-house face for the studio, but also be trained to control and manage key aspects of our admin and studio management functions.
Please note, this is not a design role and would not suit someone looking to work or transfer to our creative team.
You will gain experience in lower level project, account, finance and business management and the role would ideally suit a recent graduate who is looking to begin a career in studio management, production or general management. You should be very confident with your interpersonal skills, meeting other people from all backgrounds and be sensitive to other cultures and nationalities. You must be fluent in both written and spoken English with have good communication and reporting skills. You should have excellent computer skills and be familiar with both Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
You should have a minimum of grade B in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent. Ideally, you should have had some experience of working/a work placement in a similar role.
Core general duties will include:
opening and closing the studio daily for the design team and ensuring the space is fit for business
front of house duties, welcoming guests and clients
organising catering and day-to-day studio provisions as and when needed
manage cleaner(s), gardener(s), building maintenance contractors and utilities personnel
running for the business manager and creative team for day-to-day project requirements and special requests
managing post, couriers, company cars and deliveries
attending to our general studio emails and leasing with key members of the team accordingly
attending to our general studio telephone calls and liaising with key members of the team accordingly
attending to basic diary management and appointment requests for the business manager and creative director
international travel flight, accommodation, visas and other overseas business travel research for the business manager, creative director and team as directed and when required
basic accounting functions and bookkeeping with the business accountant (training will be provided)
all filing of general admin and finance papers
ensuring studio designed time sheets are completed and handed in on time
support work on reporting, tracking and administration relating to the running of projects and collaborations
supporting basic project research with the creative team when required
supporting basic images and picture research for the creative team when required
drafting basic copy for the business manager when required
managing press requests for the creative director and associated interviews and image requests
attending to admin and development plans for the creative directors archive
other duties agreed with the business manager or creative director
