Teacher of Computing and ICT – Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School – Derbyshire

DHFS is a successful, oversubscribed Technology College with 1783 students on roll including 313 in Sixth Form.  It is situated close to the centres of Sheffield and Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic professional to join our ICT and Computing faculty.

Applications are sought from candidates who:

Are excellent and innovative classroom practitioners
Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and the raising of achievement and progress of all students
Will teach ICT but also have a clear view of the exciting developments towards Computing and Computer Science with some experience of teaching Computing at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
Have a willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the Faculty
Have the vision, imagination and commitment to add to the strengths of the Faculty, to meet the highest professional standards and be a role model for our students.

We were identified as an Ofsted Good Practice School for school improvement (September 2012) and our CPD has been judged to be outstanding (CPD Mark 2012). All staff may enjoy the benefits of our Associate Leadership Programme.
