Paul Cocksedge Studio is an internationally acclaimed design practice notable for the design of high-end products, site-specific installations and public interventions. At the heart of our work is the exploration of the limits of technology to create unique and surprising design experiences.
We undertake arts and design commissions and consultancy work for a wide range of companies and sectors, with a diverse catalogue of high-profile clients encompassing luxury fashion labels, exclusive interiors manufacturers and major cultural institutions.
We are looking for a driven and reliable person to join our team. This is a full–time position and the salary will be dependent on experience.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Production
heading the production of product lines for PCS shop
responsible for production of prototypes on time and on budget
assisting the fulfilment and logistics team in updating product stock levels across several platforms
research materials and manufacturing processes
order materials from suppliers
prepare products for dispatch
Workshop
creating organisation systems and making sure this system is implemented effectively
archiving projects and making sure they are accessible
keeping the area tidy and ensuring it is in order at the end of each day
keeping control of stock levels of both materials and tools
Design
CAD skills (Rhino, Solidworks or similar)
Day-to-Day run of the studio
assist with deliveries and collections of materials
make sure the studio is kept tidy and in order at all times
report any materials needed to studio manager
assist with studio renovations
Skills required
university degree in Design or Architecture
minimum of three years experience in a workshop environment
excellent knowledge of handling workshop tools and equipment
meticulous organisation skills
proficient CAD skills
clear communication, fluent in English
efficient time-management
able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Candidates must be London-based, with a valid visa if applicable.
