Canoeing Teachers and Coaches – The Sharks

Job Description
We need teachers and coaches with kayaking and canoeing skills and experience. We have a number of specialist areas and we need coaches who can do one or more; all coaches are at present employed on casual, self-employed basis.

Recreational sessions at Osterley take place on Saturdays and Sundays between noon and 4pm. We need coaches or teachers to staff these sessions. The current rate of pay is £60 for the session. Whilst these sessions are essentially recreation, we hope to inspire participants to take the sport further and come to other sessions.

We are also looking for coaches who have a special knowledge and interest in one or any of the following disciplines: Canoe Polo, Marathon, Slalom, Sprint and Wild Water Racing. The current rate of pay is £15 per hour and we hold training sessions at Harefield, Osterley, Southall and Uxbridge.

Ideally, coaches should hold at least BCU level 2 or equivalent (overseas qualifications are accepted), but we are more interested in your potential than current qualifications and will help the right people to gain necessary qualifications.

We are also looking for admin staff to help support some of our sessions and to do other duties.
