Job Description

Burton Albion Community Trust delivers to an extensive school sport programme primary and junior in east across Staffordshire and surround. We are constantly striving to develop our team of coaches to enhance quality provision provide to schools. Due to increased provision we are recruiting lead coaches with experience of delivering within a school setting to deliver within curricular and extracurricular activities. Successful candidates will deliver variety of sports supported by our extensive scheme of work. Successful candidate will also be supported by BACT’s quality assurance programme and continued professional development support structure.

The candidate will hold at least a relevant NGB Level 2, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications as well as an enhanced DBS. Candidates must also demonstrate previous experience in delivering in a schools environment.
BACT work with local and national partners, any successful candidates have the opportunity to be enrolled on the Assessments for Physical Activity Level 3, to be released 2014.

Candidates must express a passion and ability to utilise the brand of Burton Albion Football Club and Burton Albion Community Trust to deliver a high standard of session within a fun, educational and safe environment.

Experience and Knowledge required:
• Coaching children on a structured programme
• Working with children of different abilities
• Working within a school setting (Curriculum and Extra-Curricular)
• Understanding of child development
• To be able to monitor and evaluate child progress

A timetable within schools will be agreed providing consistent structure and number of hours and sessions will vary dependant on candidates experience. A flexible approach to work is essential, as will be the ability to plan and organise your work to a busy schedule.
