Relevant degree in a Design and Technology related subject.
Qualified teacher status.
Evidence of successful teaching employments or on teaching practices.
Strong subject knowledge up to GCSE.
Good classroom management skills.
Ability to create a purposeful classroom ethos.
Ability to develop positive working relationships with young people of all ages and abilities.
Ability to set high standards and to motivate pupils
Ability to maintain high standards of discipline.
Ability to monitor and evaluate progress.
Awareness of the current developments in Design and Technology education.
Evidence of good organisational skills.
Evidence of creative and imaginative teaching resources.
Ability to engage students in a variety of styles of work.
Ability to teach to AS/A2 level.
