An exciting opportunity has opened up on Time Inc.’s Shooting Portfolio for a creative and commercially minded digital editor to drive forward its market leading media-based website, ShootingUK.
Reporting to the Publisher, the Digital Editor will be responsible for managing the website on a day to day basis, managing content, co-ordinating contributions from the four magazine teams which support the site and grow audience share and engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to develop and grow the digital side of this highly profitable portfolio.
Experience of creating compelling content for the web including story writing, social media curation, picture galleries and video
Digital production and editing skills – preparing magazine content for publication online including image re-sizing and headline writing
Expertise in and ideas to increase user engagement both on-site and on social media platforms
SEO knowledge and experience including keyword research and content optimisation
Experience of working with commercial and marketing teams to create bespoke advertising, affiliate and sponsorship opportunities
Some experience in managing direct reports
Ability to produce regular newsletters to promote engagement with the site
Ability to use and interpret analytic tools (Google, Hitwise etc)
In depth knowledge of the Shooting and Country Market is not essential for this role, as this is primarily a job about creating and developing the connections of our great content to the shooting and country community, but some knowledge of the market would help.
