We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher to lead a successful Mathematics department where 63% of students gained an A* – C in GCSE Mathematics in this year’s GCSE exams. This post would suit an experienced Subject Leader of Mathematics or an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics who is ready to lead a department. The successful applicant will be part of the Academy’s Extended Leadership Team and will be working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to further develop and progress our already very successful academy.
The John Wallis Church of England Academy is in the 2nd percentile nationally for progress and value added (1st percentile for Mathematics) as well as being the top performing non-selective school in Kent. Our Academy was recently described in the House of Lords as being ‘a cracking diocesan academy…that is having a really transformative effect on the whole community.’ The school was judged a “Good” school in our Ofsted inspection in January 2014, and “Outstanding” in our SIAS inspection in March 2013.
