Are you an editor who is brimming with creative ideas?
Do you have a passion for gaming; and could you turn that passion into great book content for avid fans?
Do you know your first person shooters from your MMORPGs?
Could you steer a concept from the initial brief, through creative development and deliver a quality book on time and within budget?
Do you thrive on multi-tasking a wide range of projects and still come up smiling at the end of the day?
We’re expanding our partnerships with some of the biggest games developers around, so we need you to help us develop a wide range of children’s titles, from gaming strategy guides, to illustrated non-fiction companion books and even to activity titles or narrative fiction – all inspired by some of the biggest gaming franchises around. The day-to-day work involves copywriting, page planning, proof checking and liaising with brand managers and high-profile licensors.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, a diplomatic nature and an eye for detail are essential. Knowledge of character style guides and familiarity with InDesign would be an advantage. Above all you must be enthusiastic about popular gaming brands!
