British Gymnastics has the following temporary full time post based at Lilleshall National Sports Centre
Education Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
37 hours per week
Salary
£17,638 to £22,773 per annum – depending on experience
British Gymnastics is looking to appoint an Education Coordinator to support the delivery of a national programme of courses and qualifications for High Performance Coaches and to co-ordinate the High Performance Coach Development Programme, athlete to coach programme and coach scholarship scheme
The Role
• Liaising with colleagues in Education and Performance Sport to ensure an holistic approach to the on-going development of an effective programme for coaching qualifications at levels 4&5, including working with Workforce Development colleagues to ensure the programme complements other courses and meets demand
• Coordinating courses, to include sourcing dates, venues, accommodation, tutors, resources etc. in line with programme requirements
• Publishing the national courses on the BG Website and through other channels
• Processing applications and payments for modules/courses/examinations
• Tracking and reporting individuals progress, including monitoring courses through to Award, issuing certificates and maintaining accurate records
• Collating data/generating reports in relation to activities and revenues/expenditure
• Co-ordinate the High Performance Coach Development Programme, athlete to coach programme and coach scholarship scheme
• Contributing ideas/suggestions for the development of best practice working practices, policies, procedures, communications etc.
• Sharing the workload, handling of incoming telephone calls, scanning and filing etc. to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved.
The Person
Applicants should have/be able to demonstrate:
• The ability to effectively prioritise their work and the requirements of the coach education programme, to plan and organise courses/meetings and to maintain and analyse records in relation to the provision and cost effectiveness of education provision
• Good communication/presentation skills for networking and contributing at meetings
• Effective IT/administration skills
• Ideally, a good understanding of gymnastics disciplines, an interest in the coach education framework and the ability to keep up-to-date with current thinking in relation to high performance coach development.
